Criminal Street Gangs - Advanced

Course Description

Gangs continue to proliferate and spread to most communities across the United States.  While Gang awareness has increased greatly among the law enforcement community, proactive counter-measures and innovative tactics are seldom utilized even by experienced gang investigators.  This course is the only training course that instructs how to develop intelligence, conduct interdiction, and proactively investigate gangs from street level or inmate level.  Student officers will be taught gang interviewing techniques, intelligence gathering, street interdiction methods, innovative anti-gang tactics, informant utilization, gang conspiracy investigations, historical prosecutions, RICO investigation strategies, testifying as a gang expert, utilizing the internet as a gang intelligence and investigation tool, proactive investigative strategies for more effective results and officer safety issues relating to gang interdiction and investigation. 

This course is designed for drug enforcement agents, criminal investigators, canine handlers, drug unit or task force supervisors, and uniformed patrol personnel working gang-related crimes. police officers, corrections officers, parole officers, probation officers and federal agents working gang cases or dealing extensively with gangs in their own jurisdictions.  This course will provide a higher level and more effective way of combating gangs in any jurisdiction, regardless of the level of manpower, experience and available resources.

Course Length

Criminal Street Gangs - Advanced is a 3 Day (24 Hour) course.


It is recommended that attendees have Gang Investigative experience and or have taken a Basic Criminal or Transnational Street Gangs course.

There are no scheduled classes available at this time.
