Core Drug Endangered Children Training

This course is open to US military, law enforcement officers, DHS/Child Protection Workers, County Attorneys, medical professionals, prevention & treatment professionals, child development specialists, Family and Community Service providers and educators

There is no cost to attend this training. 

Course Description
This training will prepare you to be part of a multidisciplinary response team for children endangered by parental or caregiver drug use that can negatively impact their lives.

Topics Included

-Understand the history and evolution of drug endangered children response strategies
-Know why a collaborative, multidisciplinary response is necessary to ensure safety for drug endangered children
-Be able to identify children who are drug endangered, with a focus on children ages 0-5
-Know the role that law enforcement, child welfare, medical and other professionals play in the multidisciplinary response
-Be able to initiate or expand a local drug endangered children task force

Course Length
Core Drug Endangered Children Training is a 1-day (8 hour) course.

There are no prerequisites to attend this course.
